Village Parkway Baptist Church
2019 - 2024

  • Direct, plan, organize, and coordinate a comprehensive program of Biblical education at an age-appropriate level.

  • Screen, recruit, train, organize, and coordinate volunteer teachers/helpers for Sunday small groups, Sunday large group, Sunday evening and mid-week programs and special events.

  • Lead Sunday Junior Church (VP-Kids) teaching/preaching, facilitating curriculum utilizing age-appropriate relevance and terms.

  • Maintain communication with children and families via phone calls, text messages, emails, social media, and home and/or hospital visits.

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and execute all activities associated with hosting Vacation Bible School and other special children’s events (e.g., Fall Fun Fest, Easter, Christmas, etc.)

  • Provide oversight and support as necessary for children’s ministry programs such as Royal Ambassadors, Girls in Action, and Leaders in Training.

  • Oversee the Nursery Coordinator in organizing and coordinating nursery activities, nursery volunteers and workers, and facilities and resources.

  • Manage and coordinate Ministry facilities and resources in conjunction with Mother’s Day Out, Nursery, Village Student Ministries, and other ministry groups.

  • Leverage technology and other means to simplify tasks for volunteers.

  • Develop and maintain consistent communications strategy for all Village Parkway Baptist Church ministries.

  • Design and maintain consistent branding and imaging for print, digital, video, and social media content

  • Develop awareness strategies for new ministry opportunities

  • Identify new ministry segments and digital outreach opportunities

  • Manage digital outreach communications strategy for all Village Parkway Baptist Church ministries.

  • Consistently produce and post Village social media content such as video clips, inspirational images, sermon excerpts

  • Oversee broadcast and recording of all worship services through various media outlets such as YouTube, Facebook, and VPBC.net

  • Oversee broadcast/livestream and recording of special events in the worship center such as weddings, funerals, concerts, and holiday events.

  • Coordinate media team to ensure proper audio/visual staffing.

  • Coordinate with Music Director to ensure professional quality broadcast variables such as stage etiquette, order of worship, special events presentations and audio coordination

  • Crusade 300 — volunteer 2018

    • collaborated with community church leaders to organize large-scale ministry event​

    • direct contact with local business owners to solicit event sponsorship

    • generated sponsor incentives at various tier levels

    • collaborated with facilities management to generate vendor layout map and advertisement locations throughout the Alamodome

    • recruitment of local church leaders to provide volunteers from their own congregations to provide labor at the event

    • met with local church leaders to solicit various levels of sponsorship, cooperation, and participation before, during, and after the event.

    • Personally canvassed hundreds of churches in San Antonio providing information packets for their congregations concerning the event offerings and volunteer opportunities.

    • Coordinated Vendors throughout the event

  • Mission of Hope — ongoing

    • Began a project within Village Parkway Baptist Church to provide food to hungry families in Piedras Negras, Mexico. ​

    • Established working relationship with Methodist missionaries serving at the border.

    • Began and managed food collection project

    • Personally delivered thousands of pounds of food and medical supplies to missionaries in Eagle Pass, TX

    • Coordinated the ongoing collection of goods, funds, and transportation for this mission.

  • Mission of Joy — ongoing

    • As an extension of Mission of Hope, coordinated Christmas gift collection for over 150 children in Piedras Negras, Mexico. ​

    • Source shoeboxes, promote opportunity among congregation

    • Source hundreds additional gifts such as bibles, soccer balls, Barbie dolls.

    • Coordinate with San Antonio Baptist Association to source additional gifts such as stuffed animals for over 150 children. 

    • Provided cookies, cocoa, and apple cider for Christmas party hosted by missionaries as part of this project

    • Coordinated the ongoing collection of gifts, funds, and transportation for this mission

  • Leaders in Training — ongoing

    • Established new discipleship and evangelism training program for children and adults​

    • Train children to deliver the gospel to their peers

    • Train adults to lead children and participate in evangelism activities

    • Train children and adults to serve in the community

    • Organized multiple prayer walks, canvassing, community engagement activities

    • Organize and attend LIT Mission Camp for children

  • Knerd Knights — ongoing

    • Recognizing a need for connection among socially awkward teenaged young men, established a board and table game group among the youth group.

    • Trained young men to hold prayer meeting, and build personal connections and friendships.

  • Fellowship Connection — 2022-2023

    • Designed and implemented a social gathering group rotation program among church members of all age groups to facilitate development of personal connections.

    • Members sign up and are assigned a group of 6-8 adults who will meet in person at least once per month for three consecutive months to bridge relational gaps across traditional generation divisions within the congregation.
